- The state or quality of excelling or being exceptionally good; extreme merit; superiority;
- An action, characteristic, or feature in which a person excel.
Many organisations have recognised this, investing in the best technology, designing eye catching logo's and packaging, employing a slew of advertising agencies to give their marketing more pop, even ...
All great ideas but all neglecting the single most important asset then any organisation has, its people. Without the talented individuals clocking the miles in the sales team, managing the brand in the marketing department or manning the machines in the factory everything else would be meaningless.
So why is it that businesses large and small still take their people for granted? Expecting them to function optimally without the same support and investment that other areas of the business receives?
Excellence. Being excellent isn't xx. Still don't get it? Think of an Olympic athlete, a comeptitor at the pinnacle of their game. Did any turn up one morning being excellent at their sport? No, they trained, studied, were coached, trained more and more and more and eventually excelled.
The same is true for your organisations people, each individual needs to be trained, supported and coached into being excellent. Combine excellent people with everything else and you truely have a business.
